Peace flight

40 white paper doves are flying around in the Church Peter & Paul in Allschwil
Doves stand for peace, hope, life, renewal - a peace flight.
For a moment I would have liked this peace flight to fly towards Ukraine or Gaza, but no, doves are usually flying in all directions, that’s how they are and it’s good like it is.
Why 40 doves?
40 is a symbolic number, which is strikingly common in the Bible.
40 as a sign of creation in its entirety and completeness, 40 as a sign of a phase of change that enables a new beginning. In this sense, for me, this number is associated with openness, presence and hope.

The spring

Messing, 50 x 70 cm, glas base

In this form one can breathe and relax. The richness and depth of its bluish patina are contrasting with the simplicity of this shape which seems to be held in an invisible hand. A light radial structure gives the "spring" a feel of eternity.

Wild geese flying

Wild geese have a high social organization,
which fascinates me:
Flying in a group over a long distance, the strongest among them take turn at the head
of the flight, where the resistance of the air is
the strongest.
Also they take the weakest and jungest ones
in the middle of their flight.

Flying fish

The color and natural stratification of the stone give a floating aspect to this sculpture. Although almost flat and square, the shape remains organic and seems to shoot forward like the mass of a flying fish.

Leda gracefully unrolls her neck out of her copper corolla.

Dove

In a permanent research on shape, dynamism and patina, several doves have been created. All of them are unique pieces.
Those doves are a game between 2 and 3 dimensions, between relief and full shape.

Small flame

This sober copper shape is rising up in a slight turn. Through its perfect balance it touches endlessness.

Dancing bells

The old bell tongues are not silent yet. Put upsidedown in a wooden base, they decorate the entrance of the church in Schönenbuch as an art installation. The trio is singing and dancing now.
